hot take but we need to stop measuring transphobia by whether or not you’d date/fuck a trans person. because yeah saying ur not attracted to trans people is bad, but being in a relationship with a trans person doesn’t exclude u from transphobia. especially when a lot of people who date trans ppl don’t even see them as their actual gender. and that trans people being caught in abusive relationships is of course likely. and considering how often trans people are treated as a fetish! so all too often discourse over whether or not trans people are fuckable or not just ignores most of the real problems, and in my trans opinion it’s usually creepy as hell. and then cis people say shit like “yeah id fuck a trans!” and pat themselves on the back like they just cured transphobia. and that isn’t good lmao
